Audio-Reactive (FFT) VFX System in Unity 2020.2.1f1
After sharing my audio-reactive experiment on Instagram, I was asked if I could sell the Unity project. The answer was obviously yes! I'm so glad that I can help fellow artists/devs/enthusiasts speed up their creative journeys. The unzipped file size is 2.77 GB.
Here are some notes that I thought were possibly useful when you explore this project.
Scene: you can make your own post-process volume. To enable SSR, the HDRP quality needs to be High Quality.
C#: you can change "frequencyVal" by altering how to declare the for-loop in the script.
VFX Graph: some instant tweaks would be changing the turbulence and the lifetime of each block and sampling a different 2D texture.
Music: I'm afraid, please use different music due to the license if you use this system for your projects.
FPS: 70 or more in 1080 x 1080 on my RTX 3070. In 4k, about 20.
